Project-Based Learning

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is an educational approach that centers on students' engagement in extended, hands-on projects to deepen their understanding of complex topics or real-world issues. In PBL, students actively explore, investigate, and collaborate to create tangible and meaningful outcomes, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In project-based learning, students typically work on open-ended projects that require them to apply knowledge and skills from various disciplines. These projects often involve research, data analysis, problem-solving, and creative expression.

PBL encourages student autonomy, ownership of learning, and collaboration, as students take the lead in defining their project's goals and outcomes. It also promotes essential skills such as time management, teamwork, communication, and adaptability.

The teacher's role in project-based learning is that of a facilitator, guiding and supporting students throughout the project. The focus is on the process of learning and discovery rather than solely on the final product.
