Our browser-based platform requires no downloads, works across devices, and includes features designed to minimize exam-day anxiety while ensuring a fair proctor exam environment.

Our journey started with a simple goal: to build a better way to proctor online exams. Recognizing the growing need for secure, scalable online assessments, our founder developed an early proctoring platform — one of the first open-source systems designed for remote, one-on-one university exams
While early solutions worked, they faced limitations in scalability, reliability, and cost. A new idea was born: move proctoring fully to the browser, enable group monitoring, automate violation detection, and reduce dependency on heavy server infrastructure. Prototypes were developed in parallel with consulting work.
Our founding team officially launched a company to create a next-generation online proctoring platform. Focused on privacy-first design and real-time monitoring, the new system offered a scalable, flexible alternative to traditional proctoring tools.
After months of product development, the first commercial projects arrived. The business secured investments from major tech venture partners and grant programs, allowing the team to accelerate feature development and expand its infrastructure.
To meet demand from large certification providers and educational platforms, OctoProctor launched an embeddable SDK, allowing seamless integration of proctoring technology into third-party platforms and custom interfaces.
The rapid rise of remote learning accelerated the need for secure online proctoring for education. OctoProctor scaled to support thousands of online exams daily, introducing new AI-based monitoring tools and live proctoring services.
With demand growing worldwide, the company focused on globalizing its business operations, launching new partnerships and integrating with leading international learning platforms
OctoProctor’s leadership team expanded, bringing in new expertise to streamline business operations and accelerate growth in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
The company introduced a new operational structure focused on international clients and built out a growing library of integrations, including native support for Moodle, Open edX, and enterprise LMS solutions.
With international groundwork laid and product capabilities refined, we spent 2024 deepening strategic partnerships, enhancing team structure, and preparing for its next phase of global expansion.
Today, OctoProctor is rebuilding its international team, scaling partnerships, and expanding its proctoring platform capabilities to meet the demands of higher education, certification programs, and enterprise training providers worldwide.
